Abby Huggins, Principal

Abby Huggins joined USD 232 in 2012 as a special education coordinator, where she primarily supported the district's early childhood program, center-based classrooms, and students ages 18–21 attending The Bridge. She later served as a school improvement specialist at De Soto High School before becoming an assistant principal at De Soto High School. Ms. Huggins now serves as the principal of Lexington Trails Middle School. 

Before joining USD 232, Ms. Huggins worked in the Blue Valley School District for 11 years as a speech-language pathologist and student services consultant. Throughout her time in Blue Valley, she specialized in supporting students with autism and partnering with educators and families to meet each student's unique needs. 

Ms. Huggins has a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Baker University, a Master of Science in Special Education from the University of Kansas, a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Kansas, and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Kansas State University.

Ms. Huggins has two children who are graduates of De Soto High School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, frequenting local coffee shops, vintage shopping, and being outdoors running or gardening.

Mr. Jeremy Todd, Associate Principal & Athletic Director

Jeremy Todd joined USD 232 in 2026 as the associate principal and athletic director at Lexington Trails Middle School. 

Mr. Todd started his teaching career at Sumner Academy in Kansas City, Kansas, where he taught math before transitioning to teaching engineering in the Career and Technical Education program. After 11 years at Sumner, Mr. Todd spent a year at Blue Valley Southwest and Blue Valley CAPS. 

Mr. Todd holds a master's degree in educational administration from Emporia State University and an undergraduate degree in secondary math education from The University of Kansas. 

Mr. Todd is married to his wife, Amanda, who works in special education. Together, they have two boys, Pierce and Rhys.

Mrs. Elizabeth Wing, School Improvement Specialist

Elizabeth (Beth) Wing joined USD 232 in 2025 and currently serves as the school improvement specialist and math and reading.

Prior to joining USD 232, Mrs. Wing worked in the Bonner Springs School District for 16 years. During her time there, she served as an elementary classroom teacher, interventionist, and instructional coach.

Mrs. Wing earned a master’s and a bachelor’s degree in educational administration from Emporia State University.

Mrs. Wing and her husband, Andy, have three sons. They enjoy sports, traveling, and spending time together.
